GPEKEY~B SYSTEM – GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The GPEKEY system is based on an electronic contactless key (transponder) which is universal, in that it can directly manage other external systems such as coin mechs, change givers, bill validators, electronic keys and cards with or without contact.
The system consists of a base station called GPEKEY~B which is placed inside the vending machine. This base station is connected directly to the serial interface of the vending machine logic board (VMC). The GPEKEY~B will also interface with a parallel coin mechanism ( 6 coins), a bill validator (6 values) and other executive serial interface systems.
GPEKEY~B has an antenna allowing it to communicate with its own contactless key, GPEKEY~K, in order to create a complete payment system. GPEKEY~K base station also works as a link between the VMC of its own system and an external payment system.
